Pints and Perspectives

We are delighted to welcome John Volanthen, who will be speaking on ‘Cave Exploration and Rescue’. John played a key role in the Tham Luang cave rescue in Thailand, where 12 young boys and their coach were dramatically rescued in 2018. Colin Farrell played the role of John in the Hollywood film ‘Thirteen Lives’ so we really can’t wait to hear his fascinating story!

Packhorse Quiz Night
Get your friends together and join us for an evening of fun trivia. Teams of 2 to a maximum of 6 people are welcome. First prize is a £50 bar tab!

Packhorse Guided Walk Thursday 28th May
Meet outside the pub at 10.30 am for our monthly guided walk (this time with Tim Laney). You are then welcome to stay for lunch or a drink after the walk. Remember to wear appropriate footwear and clothing for the time of year.
Purple Pony Club next date Thursday 11th June at 8pm
A new residency music night at the Packhorse, hosted by Drew Neirin. Between 5 to 7 artists performing per session, playing music from lots of different genres – a great night out and totally free!
May Bank Holiday Music
We’re lucky to have two bank holiday Mondays in May and as usual, we will be hosting live music in the pub garden from 3pm to 5pm.
