BOOKING INFORMATION

Please read our reservation policy carefully as we have had to make a few changes to the booking process. Our community owned business runs on a very fine margin and we can’t afford to have tables that are booked and not being used. Unfortunately, due to the increasing number of customers that are failing to turn up or cancel an unwanted table in advance, we feel we have no choice other than to secure bookings with a credit card.

RESERVATION POLICY

For any reservation above 4 people we now require a pre-authorised credit or debit card to make the reservation.

We reserve the right to charge this card £10 per head for any party

  • That fails to arrive for their reservation
  • Doesn’t inform us in advance that the group number has changed
  • Fails to cancel the reservation (up to 2 hours in advance)

If you do need to cancel or amend your booking at short notice – within the terms above – you will need to call on 01225 830300 (we do not check our emails during service).

We cannot guarantee we will be able to hold on to booked tables for longer than 15 minutes, so please call us if you are running late.

Due to space issues tables above 6 people will be seated in our upstairs rooms which are not dog friendly.

Please remember to mention on the booking email whether there are any mobility issues as we will sort your table location appropriately.

SUNDAY BOOKINGS

Please note that our largest table booking is for a maximum of 8 people on a Sunday. Group bookings for over 8 available Wednesday to Saturday – see below for booking info.

GROUP BOOKINGS OVER 8 PEOPLE

Our maximum online table booking is for 8 people. For larger tables please email info@packhorsebath.co.uk to enquire. A deposit and pre-order may be required for groups above 8.

CARD PAYMENTS

We are a card only business now, no cash please.

DOG POLICY

We are a very dog friendly pub and welcome well-behaved pooches of all sizes and shape. Dogs are allowed on the ground floor only and maximum table size is for 6 people. Please check that we have a dog friendly table available before booking. Finally, please keep them on a lead inside the pub and in the garden.

PARKING

As there is very limited parking at the pub and in the village, visitors to The Packhorse are encouraged to park on Midford Road and enjoy a gentle stroll down South Stoke lane into the village. Blue badge holders need to let us know by phone in advance so that we can reserve you a space. The ideal way to enjoy all that our pub has to offer is to come by taxi – Abbey V Cars is a local Bath company (01225 464646). The car park will only be available during our opening hours, so please only use the car park for your specified booking time in order to be fair to all of our guests. If you do have to park in the village then please be respectful to the local residents and other road users.
