Christmas Workshops at The Packhorse
This year we are once again hosting a range of different Festive Workshops. Back by popular demand, we have four wreath making classes and one candle making, and new for this year a glass ornament workshop. All of the workshops are super friendly and work for both individuals or groups of friends.
After the day classes you will have the option to stay on for a festive lunch so you can really make a celebration of the event.
We also appreciate that times are tough so, we have worked hard to keep the prices the same as 2024 to tempt you along to one or more workshop!
Christmas Wreath Workshops with Persephone Violet 2nd, 5th, 9th, 10th December
Every year our Christmas wreath making classes are sellouts so be quick to secure your place this December. We have four workshops running this year, two day time classes (Monday 2nd and Tuesday 10th) and two evening classes (Thursday 5th and Monday 9th). Day classes will start at 11am (meet from 10.15am for welcome refreshments) and evening classes at 7pm (meet from 6.15pm for refreshments).
We are delighted that master florist Emily is once again running these fantastic festive workshops for us at The Packhorse. You will create a fresh foliage moss-based traditional Christmas door wreath completely from scratch (with expert tuition and support from Emily). Once the foliage base is made, you will then have great fun decorating your wreath with festive delights, ribbons and other decorations to make it completely unique. The wreath making workshop is suitable for all levels including absolute beginners – no previous experience necessary.

Candle Making Workshop with Hazel and Blue Candles Wednesday 11th December 11am start (welcome coffee from 10.30am)
This delightful workshop returns for 2024. Join experienced chandler, Becky, for a relaxed and interactive candle making workshop. Whether you are a complete novice or a pro candle maker, Becky will guide you in the art of soy candle making teaching you the tricks of the trade. Once you’ve learnt the techniques, you will choose from a variety of pre-blended scents and make your very own festive soy candles to take home with you – they make wonderful Christmas gifts if you can bear to give them away!

*NEW for 2024* Glass Christmas Wreath Making Workshop with Glass Garden Studio Wednesday 18th December 10am start (welcome coffee from 09.30am)
We are really looking forward to meeting Tracey from Glass Garden Studio who will be teaching you how to make glass wreath decorations using old wine bottles from The Packhorse!
This course is suitable for beginners, so no previous experience is needed. You will get a taste of glass fusing using recycled bottles and will make one large wreath and a small wreath decoration for your tree! All materials, tuition & tools are provided, you just need to wear a sturdy pair of closed-toed shoes to protect your feet (no sparkly Xmas sandals for this class!).
Please note that the decorations will need to be taken back to the studio to be kiln fused so collection will be on Saturday 21st December. On collection of your wreath you can enjoy a festive tipple on us!
