Pints and Perspectives
Monday 27th April 7pm
In April we have invited professional story-teller Drift Snowbarger to tell us all about ‘Dickens and Prisons’. He will be taking us on a fascinating dive into a dark, hidden, and sometimes gruesome, part of our history. Email info@packhorsebath.co.uk to book your place or pop in to the pub.
Monday 18th May 7pm
We are delighted to welcome John Volanthen, who will be speaking on ‘Cave Exploration and Rescue’. John played a key role in the Tham Luang cave rescue in Thailand, where 12 young boys and their coach were dramatically rescued in 2018. Colin Farrell played the role of John in the Hollywood film ‘Thirteen Lives’ so we really can’t wait to hear his fascinating story!
Please email info@packhorsebath.co.uk to register interest for the above talks as we will move into the village hall if more space is needed.

Charity Coffee Morning Tuesday 5th May
We are looking forward to welcoming back Bath in Bloom for our May coffee morning. Following last year’s successful plant sale and coffee morning, they’re returning this year to raise further funds for their great local charity work.
Join us from 10am for coffee, cake, and a plant sale in the garden – fingers crossed for a sunny day.
Purple Pony Club Thursday 14th May at 8pm
A new residency music night at the Packhorse, hosted by Drew Neirin. Between 5 to 7 artists performing per session, playing music from lots of different genres – a great night out and totally free!
Secret Supper Club ‘New World Wine vs Old World Wine’ theme Thursday 14th May 7pm
We have designed the menu around a carefully chosen selection of both old and new world wines. Together with our expert from Talking Wines we will explore not just how wine and food can pair so beautifully, but also how both tradition and modernity can help tell the story of amazing wine regions, makers and bottles.
If this sounds like your kind of evening, then please get in contact and reserve your place as spaces are limited (email info@packhorsebath.co.uk)
*Please note: a sense of culinary adventure is essential, as we’re unable to accommodate dietary restrictions*
PackStock 2026
Live music all afternoon into the early evening on Sunday 24th May.
The countdown is officially on! We have got some of our much-loved regular bands returning, alongside a couple of new acts making their debut with the PackStock crowd.
Deux Filous – Cat and D play Jazz Coquette: a mellifluous melange of chansons français, latin and swing. Double bass, guitar and clarinet: multilingual duets to make your heart sing.
Rich and Lou – cover songs from the 60’s to modern day classics. Performing stripped back versions of songs you know and love, they create a big sound using guitar, cajon and soulful harmonies.
Jess Chivers – Jess will be playing some of her songs from her debut EP alongside a selection of well-loved classics. Plenty to sing and dance along to.
Coopla – this duo rocks to a funk/groove/soul vibe with jazzy intros. Loads of great covers for you to sing and dance to.
The Artful Badgers – an energetic local trio with double bass, guitar and fiddle, playing upbeat acoustic / roots songs ranging from gypsy-jazz and country-blues through folk-rock to bluegrass and Americana.
