We have certainly needed our log fires this past week as the frosty weather arrived.
Tonight is Burns night celebration in the pub – Skiffle, poetry, haggis, whisky – what a perfect way to end the week.
We have some delicious new dishes on the menu including some local pheasant, parmesan arancini, and espresso and tonka bean cheesecake.
Other news this week – we are changing the pub opening hours to reflect the quieter winter months. From 1st February opening time will change from 9.30am to 11.30am. Still plenty of time to pop in and have a coffee late morning or afternoon. Sunday lunch will extend to 5pm and then the pub will close at 8pm. On Mondays the kitchen will close but bar snacks, coffee and cake will be available.
It’s not long until our first birthday (in March) so we are busy planning a big party to celebrate being re -opened for a year. Watch this space and social media for more information. There will definitely be music, drink, food and lots of entertainment. Also, let’s hope the sun will shine this year and we don’t have to dig a path in the snow like last year!
Quiz nights, curry nights, pub choir, live music, Skiffle, are all organised for the next few months and we are planning some amazing spring events – more info to follow once details are confirmed.
Please keep supporting us – pop down for some food, drink, entertainment and good old fashioned chat.
See you soon
