Snow days, mulled cider and hot chocolate

South Stoke was glorious this weekend. The snow scenes were stunning, the sledging top class and the mulled cider was back in the pub – perfect! We lost count of the number of hot chocolates we made on Friday and there was an amazing community spirit abounding in the pub and village. Thank you to all the folk who made a big effort to get to us in the slippery conditions.

Sadly, it’s all melted away now but there’s still lots to look forward to this month. Alternate Mondays is My Pub Choir (next one on 11th), Tuesday is our new curry night in the winter months and Wednesday will be alternate traditional folk sessions and quiz night (this week it’s folk session).

More news on the big one year anniversary party in March – we now have two local musical trios, The Soft Centres and The Artful Badgers, confirmed for Sunday 17th. They will be entertaining us with a lively, upbeat selection of music.
